Good Morning,

I am quite new here and started with WordPress 6 weeks ago, using the theme “Vantage”.

Currently I have 3 static sites with posts. The link to one of the post site is https://www.igar.at/2020/05/24/mondphasen-im-juni-2020/

Every site has only 1 post (link and the full text), but this preview-site has not the same “”design”” like the original post that´s behind the link. Under that original post are the “Related Posts”.

Is there a possibilty to skip this preview site and switch directly to the in my example montly updating current original post?
And my 2nd question: the colour from the “”related posts” – can this link-colour be changed from black to blue? And can the text be edited from Englisch to German?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Erwin

    Thanks for posting your questions.

You can use a plugin like Loco Translate to translate the Related Posts heading.

I’ve logged the related posts link issue here https://github.com/siteorigin/vantage/issues/357. The issue will be resolved in the next Vantage update.

I’m not quite following your posts question. Are you asking if you can display the full post content on the blog page? If so, you can go to CustomizeTheme SettingsBlogPost Content. Ensure this setting is set to Full Content.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your answer.

    To the posts.

Attached you will find 2 screenshots:

Screenshot 1: is the screenshot with the static site with the widget “latest posts”. In the box “latest posts” I activate 2 posts on the right site, so you can see two links with two times “full text”: Die Mondphasen im Juni and Die Mondphasen im Mai.

Screenshot 2: is the post you see after you click of one of the two links mentioned above (Die Mondphasen….). Then you see it with the header and the text without link and below is the text “Related Post” with currently two links (at this time are no more posts in this category).

So I woud like start either with the static site and instead of viewing the box “latest posts” I´d like to have here (in this static site) the current post without the widget “Latest posts” as in Screenshot 2. Or – if possible – I´d like to start immediately with Screenshot 2 in the current view (with the current post):
My problem is, that I want to have it as shown in Screenshot 2 (without showing it like it is in Screenshot 1 before). As mentioned I am quite a beginner and this is the only way to come to this output, maybe there is some better or easier way to get such a site with always refers to the current view (in my case the current month).

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Erwin

Thanks for the screenshot and link.

Do you require any additional content on the page in question? If not, you can go to SettingsReading and choose mondphasen/ as your Posts page.

Alternatively, you can insert a SiteOrigin Layout Block and insert into that Layout Block a Post Loop widget. This will require Page Builder by SiteOrigin to be installed.

    Hi, I Work Here

You can also edit the Latest Posts block and use the Block settings on the right to enable Post content.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your helping.

Now I have a new problem.

I installed the “Loco Translate”-Plugin to translate “Related Posts” in German. First it works, burt only when “Polylang” is deactivated. As soon as I activate “Polylang”, the text is immediately displayed in English again.

Do you have an idea for this problem or is this a new problem between the theme “Vantage” and “Polylang”.

    Hi Erwin

Check that you’ve created a translation per language https://imgur.com/a/sICDPRc.

The page from the link you send me is emtpy. Or is an account required to see the content of the page?

    Hi, I Work Here

In Loco Translate you’ll most likely need to create a translation per language on your website. Put another way, Related Posts will need to be translated for each language added to Polylang.

    Hi Andrew,

I found the mistake with Polylang and the incorecct translation The problem was in the translation file from Polylang and the theme. The standard name what Polylang for the translation file created is de_AT and the standard name from the “Loco-Translate”-plugin is de_DE.

    Now it works.

The problem with the posts is still ongoing.

I think we can close this discussion here because I am a premium user since yesterday and I will send my questions via Email.

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, I’m glad to hear you’re making progress with the translation issue.

If you’re still using the Latest Posts block you can try the following https://imgur.com/a/6NRhLEZ.

Please, email [email protected] with any follow-up questions you may have. Thanks for your support :)
