Question about splitting blog posts to different pages

Hi :)

I am finally working on my site and would like to split blog posts to different pages so that everything isn’t jumbled all together. For example I have art posts and want to add project posts versus pages then a general type blog section and a few others. When I was reviewing how to do this with the post loop widget it sent me to wordpress.com and on that site, it didn’t recommend doing it this way – http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts

I think that is what I would need to do this? And if so, what is the best way to use the plugin for it? I admit to being confused by it.

Thank you!

    Hi,

    I am sorry! Please disregard. I can see how to do it! I used cat=Art in the additional field and that worked :) (I wanted the art posts on the front page to start with).

    Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Leslie

    On any given page use a page template other than Blog. The page template drop down is in the right column. Then click over to the Page Builder tab and insert a Post Loop widget. In the Additional field of the Post Loop widget, insert an argument as follows:

    cat=1,2,3,4

    Where 1,2,3,4 are the category ID’s you want to display. You can find category ID’s by going to Posts > Categories, clicking on a category and locating the ID in the url.
