Put copyright info to images

Dear Andrew,
one more question. I wish to be on the safe side with regard to properly quoting cpyright of images. Best would be to display the copyright below the image in small letters (ie. “(c) Tim Knorke”).
I have tried to use the title text and the Alt text but neither of them will be displayed in the preview(view page respectively).
Hence this is actually two questions:
Where does the title text and the alt text show up?
How would you solve the copyright issue alternatively?
Looking forward to your response!
Kind regards
Kerstin

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kerstin

The image title shows up on hover in some browsers, alt is only used by screen readers and search engines. If you insert images via the Visual Editor they will display the image caption below the image. That’s the field to use. This unfortunately won’t happen with featured images. For featured images you could either credit somewhere in the post, or if it must be below the image you’d need to forgoe using featured images and insert your image in the post text, before the read more tag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
