Problems with setting slider

Hi

I am having problems setting up my homepage slider. Please could you suggest the approsize of images to use. I have resized my images based on the meta slider size and even tried to use the slider edit image option but still can’t seem to make my images fit. When I resize it to the slider settings, my images are blurred and appear zoomed in. Please help.

Also I have today upgraded to vantage premium, thinking this would help but I now have another problem in that even if i change the slider hight size, the slider size doesn’t changed at all and this wasn’t an issue before I upgraded .
