Problems with Page Loading since new Update

Hi Forum,

at first, sorry for my english, i am from austria ;)

i am new here and i am a amateur user of wordpress and site origin.
We run a website for our dog breeding (http://www.acheronwhippets.at/) and i update the site when we have a litter once a week.
A few weeks ago i did a update of wordpress as well as a couple of plugins, and now when I enter a few of my main pages (the bigger ones), i get this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 78643200 bytes exhausted(tried to allocate 33099 bytes) in /home.sites/28/site1129825/web/ph-includes/wp-db.php on line 1592

I can enter them on the “normal” site, but in wordpress, when i want to change something, the page stays in text form and is not getting transfered into page builder form (do you know what i mean?).

Another thing is, that i cannot use the customizer function since then anymore, i get a blank page when i press it.
It tried to deactivate the site origin plugin, then i can enter the page and it get´s transfered into page builder but of corse then the site origin whiggets are missing and i can not set any changes on them as long as the plug in is deactivated.
The function customizer is also working when the plug in is deactiveted.

Does anyone have an idea what i can do about this?

Thank you in advance,
Lukas

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lukas

    Thanks for posting your question.

Please, try temporarily deactivating all plugins except for those plugins authored by SiteOrigin. With only Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle activated, does the issue persist? If the issue does not persist, please, try reactivating your plugins one by one, checking for the error after each reactivation.

    Hello Andrew,

    thank you for your help!

Once I deactivated all plugins as you said and then only Page Builder and Widgets Bundle, the Customize function does not work if both are active at the same time, but it does if both are active without the other.
Regarding the problem that I cannot edit my main pages with Page Builder, yes that is also the case when these two plugins are active, even if I deactivate all the others, unfortunately. Do you know this problem from other users? Most importantly, it never happened until recently, maybe an update caused it?

    Best Regards,
    Lukas

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lukas

    Thanks for the update.

We don’t have any open issues of this nature or any widespread reports of a similar problem.

The issue in the Customizer might be memory-related. There are a few ways you might proceed:

If able, it would be helpful to enable debugging and check the error log for any relevant errors. Here is how https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/.

When the issue occurs in the Customizer you could check the browser console for any errors in red text. Here is how https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.

Checking the browser console for errors is quite easy. Enabling PHP debugging is a semi-technical task. Both would be helpful in order to seek out error messages.
