Problems with Live editing

Hello,

I have an issue regarding the Live Editor. Any changes i made are not visible directly. It shows the loading bar when i save a widget, but then the page is the same. I’ve tried re-arrange stuff and just edit some text. No changes are made.

The console gives me:
Uncaught TypeError: this.$(…)[0].contentWindow.liveEditorScrollTo is not a function

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Limpan,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hello,

I have found that this is due to the environment. Running on localhost (apache) it works just fine, but on our QA environment we’re running nginx and it’s here it fails. Same error in the console for two sites in this environment.

Before/while I start digging deeper in this web server config, maybe you guys know what setting we’re missing in nginx?

    Best regards
    Linus

    Hi Linus,

Unfortunately, we’re not too sure why this is happening as there aren’t any known issues with nginx in general. Can you please clarify what your stack is?

We found the problem. On the nginx machine did not have soap installed for PHP.
