Problems with Custom CSS

By dpijuan, 9 years ago. Last reply by Daniel, 9 years ago.

I’m having problems copy and pasting into Custom CSS, The only way for me to edit the Custom CSS using Copy/Paste is to disable scripts running on site via Noscript addon in Firefox, It seems to have started after the latest update.
I have disabled all plugins, updated Java, and have latest version of Firefox running. I have also tried using Chrome but still have the same issue. I can edit the Style CSS via copy/paste(which i did not). The issue is just with the Custom CSS provided with the Vantage premium theme.

Here are some images of the issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dpijuan

That’s odd. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dpijuan

Sorry to hear about the hassle. I logged in now but unfortunately can’t seem to replicate the problem. Can you perhaps let me know, is there a specific snippet of CSS you’e been tested with pasting in?

    Hi Andrew

Sorry for the late response, well it is weird that you would not be able to replicate the issue I’m having since i have tried editing the Custom CSS on 3 machines, Windows 7.1pro and 2 Windows 8.1 systems. All of which i could not copy and paste into the Custom CSS. It’s not a problem with an individual snippet, It’s the Custom CSS as a whole. Nothing can be copy or pasted and the only way to edit is to either block all scripts on the site via noscript, or to hand type all css into the Custom CSS

I just realized i can copy and paste using Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v just fine. I just can no longer use mouse to copy/paste into CSS.
It’s not a big deal and sorry if i wasted anyone time. Thanks for the support :-)
