Problem with widget position in homepage header

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hi!

I am trying to align the language selection option and the Facebook “like” plugin on the right in the header of my homepage, but am unable to do so. Also, ideally both of these plugins would be center aligned in case of the mobile website.

Do you have any idea why the Facebook plugin is not shown if I look at the website from my mobile?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance! You’re great!

Best,
Nejc

    Hi Nejc

    I don’t see a Facebook like in the header. I turned Ad Blocker off and still can’t see it. To move the languange switcher down you could try add padding as follows:

    /* Header */
    header#masthead hgroup #header-sidebar {
    padding-top: 80px;
    }

    Add that under Appearance > Custom CSS.

    When you upgrade to Vantage 2.2.3 or higher hgroup will need to change to .hgroup – all you need to do is add a period (full stop) in front of hgroup. But only after upgrading.

    This is extremely strange… I see it from three different computers… I nevertheless deactivated the plugin and activated it again.

    Can you maybe check the Slovenian version of the site:

    I basically want to align the “SI” text of the language switcher with the “like” box of the Facebook plugin. And make them centered, one on top of the other on mobile.

    Hope you see it now.

    Super hard to say what’s going on there. I had another person check, also on OS X and they also can’t see Facebook there. I checked in OS X Chrome, Safari and Firefox. I can see the code there but no matter what I do to change it, it doesn’t appear.

    Did you try the Custom CSS I sent?

    I put the CSS and nothing changed from what I can see. I removed the Facebook plugin and added the html code for like box directly into a text widget. I still see the stuff exactly as it was before, but maybe something changed on your side? Otherwise I really have no more ideas what to do…

    Thanks for your help, really appreciate it!

    Yeah still the same. Let me test in a Windows machine tomorrow and see if anything is different. I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve checked it out. Thanks for the wait.
