Hero works great at full width with image, text and button. However, when I add a second image, text and button the full width disappears and I get a left aligned image set that does not cover the page.

Sorry to hear about the problem. Do you still have a demo page where we can see this problem live? I took a look at your link but I don’t think you’re using a Hero widget there anymore, hopefully, I didn’t miss it.
It was a problem with the theme which I have now replaced. However, I'm now experiencing scale issues with the hero on iPhone. It scales down to a certain point and then starts to go off screen. See the same demo page –
first top hero not lower.

It does, yes, The Hero isn’t fully responsive in the way say Meta Slider plugin is. Meta Slider will scale the entire block down, including text. At the moment, the Hero maintains the height you’ve set in settings and adjusts the text to fit. For the background to scale all the way down we’d need to adjust height and text size as it responds. We could use Custom CSS to set the background size to 100% width, but, because the text isn’t changing size and the container height isn’t changing, it’ll mean your background image won’t cover the entire area.
