Problem with Portfolio Plugin 2.35 in WordPress 4.2.5 in Vantage Premium theme

I want to save html characters in short description and they keep showing inside “”.
i.e. if I write in short description

test

I expect to show just “test”. But It shows ”

test

”
Any idea what is the problem?

    Hi Marios

    Just to check, do you still get this same issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen? If so, then it might be better to contact the authors of the Portfolio Plugin directly. They might have more insight into the possible cause.

    I checked it. I switched it to another and still get the same problem. Thanks for your problem. Probably its an issue of the plugin. Thanks a lot!
