    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ginadet,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ginadet,

    Very sorry for the delay.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look at your setup?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ginadet,

You’re experiencing a mixed content issue. To resolve this issue please navigate to WP AdminSettingsGeneral and change all urls from http to https. Then please install and run Velvet Blues Update URLs replace http://cakes.vivianmay.com with https://cakes.vivianmay.com.

    Hi Alex S

I followed the first part of your instruction and when trying to get back into WP Admin to install Velvet Blues, I get a page that says “This page is not working. Cakes.vivianmay.com redirected you too many times.” I cleared the cookies and I am still getting this message. Should I be installing it somewhere else?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ginadet,

That suggests something is overriding the WordPress setting to ensure the non-https version of the URL is used. I would check your plugins for any redirect plugins and if you can’t find any there, I would check your .htaccess for a hard redirect – I would reach out to your hosting provider for assistance with this if you’re not to sure how to access that file.

Also, it’s possible there’s a redirect in your hosting provider’s control panel that could be causing this infinite redirect.

    Hi Alex S

I cannot thank you enough for pointing me in the right direction. After much checking and investigating I eventually got in and got it to work by following your directions. Thank you so much.
