Hello
I was wondering if someone would be able to help me please. I have the page builder plugin and on my home page it is set up with the add row, widget etc in the bar. On all my other pages, it says ‘page builder’ next to text or visual but does not offer the facility to add a widget or row no matter how many times I click on the words ‘page builder’. This is my first time at having a go at a website and I will be honest, I’m not that technical so any help would be much appreciated. Kind Regards Netty
Hi Netty
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. After opening the Page Builder tab, you should see what you’re seeing on your home page.
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex
Thank you for your reply.
I have deactivated all my plugins but it still says the same thing when I click the page builder tab. It says "would you like to copy this editor's existing content to page builder". I say "yes" and nothing seems to happen!
I am still unable to see the say tabs as I do on the home page.
I am also unable to work out how to delete my 'cache' as it doesn't seem obvious.
Any more help would be gratefully appreciated.
My apologies as I am very new to all of this.
Many thanks
Hi Netty,
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

Hi Alex
I have set you up as an administrator but there was no box to tick that said 'send password'.
please can you let me know if you have received anything?

Hi Netty,
Sorry for the delay.
Can you please try updating WordPress to see if that helps.
If it doesn’t, can you please clarify what changes you’ve specifically trying to make that aren’t taking effect? I ask as I created a test page and it’s working without issue. I also made an edit to your home page and that also took effect (it’s the archives widget at the bottom of your home page).
Hi Alex
Thank you for your reply and your help.
Before updating WordPress it is recommending I do a back up so I will try and work out how to do that before updating.
What I am trying to do is to be able to add the social media link at the bottom of each of my pages. It will only allow me to do this on my 'home'
page. On the other pages, such as 'about us' page the page does not show the add widget or row option across the tab. If I click on 'page builder'
it says "would you like to copy this editor's content to page builder". I have clicked yes and still nothing seems to obviously change.
I can see the archive widget you have added to the home page though.
Hope this explains my problem a little better.
Many thanks
Hi Netty,
Thanks. I’ve had a look at your about page and it appears to have converted to Page Builder without issue. I was able to enable page builder and (as an example) add a basic test widget (another archives widget). Can you please double check the About page to ensure everything carried over correctly?
Hi Alex
Thank you so much! It has worked on the about page.
Please can you tell me how to do it for all the other pages as well please?
When I click page builder on all the other pages it is still not showing the add widget etc. I am clearly doing something wrong!
Hi Netty,
I suspect you’re experiencing a browser issue. Can you please try enabling SiteOrigin Page Builder on the other pages using a different browser? If that doesn’t work, try using the account you created me as this may be an account specific issue.
Hi Alex
Yes!! thank you so much!! using a different browser has solved the problem.
Can't thank you enough.
I assume I now just delete the test page etc?
Many thanks
Hi Netty,
Great to hear. I suspect you may have a browser extension installed that’s causing you issues so I would try disabling them to see if that allows you to use SiteOrigin Page Builder again.
Hi Alex
Ok thank you, I shall have a look.
I will activate my plugins as well one by one and see what happens.
Many thanks for all your help
