Problem with Hero slider

Hi,
I want to create a hero slider where the slider images go beneath the header on my home page(so main navigation and logo sit on top of the images). I followed your instructions here: https://siteorigin.com/create-fullscreen-slider-siteorigin-hero-widget/
but it does not work somehow, the slider does not go full to the top, and it also goes above the dropdown and the mobile menu(seems to be a z-index problem). Could you help me to get it to work?

    Hi Lobar,

    Unfortunately, the linked article doesn’t allow for this sort of functionality as it’s very theme dependent – the theme needs to be specifically designed with this functionality in mind. Are you using a SiteOrigin Theme? If so, which theme? Most of our themes have an option for this so I’ll be able to provide instructions on how to do this.

    Regarding the slider appearing on top of the drop down and mobile menu, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hello Alex,

    thank you for your reply. No, I am not using a SIteOrigin Theme. I actually did get it to work by adding some css, but unfortunately I actually found the slider widget to be quite slow. I know slider alsways have an impact on performance, but the hero image and also the slider widget decreased page speed more then even larger slider plugins like Meta Slider…

    The SitOrigin Slider and SiteOrigin widgets are quite lightweight out of the box as they weigh in at only 26KB. If you would like to use our sliders, please provide me with a link to your website where I can take a look at your usage. That will allow me to provide you with some performance suggestions that will help you get the most out of our sliders.
