Problem updating the theme to a new version

Hi everyone, i bought this theme in 2015 but i haven’t uploaded it yet until now because everything was working fine but recently i have noticed some troubles when modifying the “one page” home page, cause every time i do an edit in one of the blocks and i click on the update button, it doesn’t take the update and delete my edit returning to the original setting.
Practically i can’t edit any more any parts of my web site, besides the news and the portfolio.

I tried to update the theme, but as soon as it finish there is an error message that pops up and my wordpress page become all white, don’t allowing me to enter again in my dashboard. Then i put back the theme to the actual version and everything appears again.

I tried to update wordpress and other plug in to the last version but nothing changed, so i think that the problem is related to the theme or to the related plug ins, like: fresh-favicon; fresh-fcustom code and Page Builder by SiteOrigin

Can anyone help me solving this ? Because otherwise i need to change theme and build my site again using an other theme

Thanks in advance

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Stp,

To clarify, what theme are you using? What is the error message you see? Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and update the theme, then see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Hi, thankyou for answering.
I’m using a theme created by an other author, not by Site Origin but i followed your step and disabled all the plugin besides “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” and the updating went through.
I have reactivated all plugin one by one and discovered that the error is made by a plug in that is from an other author.
I will directly ask to that person

    Thankyou for your help
