    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ulf

Apologies for the hassle. We did extensive testing before releasing this update but, it does seem like we’ve run into problems we didn’t find before launching. We’re all online and working on this right now. We’ll revert with news as soon as we know more. Sorry again for the hassle.

I’m having the same problem. At first, I thought it was my computer, so I kept restarting it, but I can’t update anything on my home page. Do you know when the update will be complete? I use jetpack and pagebuilder is not working for me. I need to change some things on my home page.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ulf

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ulf

    So sorry for the hassle.

We believe we’ve found the issue. Greg will push the update tomorrow morning GMT+2.

If you need to work right now you could delete Page Builder from Plugins after deactivating it and then install the previous version via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. The previous, stable version is here:

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ulf

We have a fix ready, once we confirm that this fixes the issue we’ll send out the update. Would it be possible for you to manually install the update to check if this solves the issues for you?

    1. In your WordPress admin, navigate to PluginsInstalled.
    2. Deactivate Page Builder, then delete it to make sure you can install the new version.
    3. Download a copy of 2.4.1: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/siteorigin-panels.2.4.1.zip
    4. Navigate to PluginsAdd New. Click Upload Plugin, then select and install the 2.4.1 zip file you downloaded.

Thanks for taking the time to check! Please let us know if this solves the issues you were experiencing.

Hi, I came here to find a solution for the same problem. I installed your 2.4.1 version and that did not solve it. Nothing changed. The visual editor is blank. I tried editing the text/html editor, but clicking Done and Update doesn’t save the changes.

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Frenone

From the sounds of it you’re getting a slightly different error to Ulf. Would it be possible for you to create a new thread so we can help diagnose exactly what’s causing the issue in your particular case?

As I understand it, my problems appears to be the exact same as Diknyo Nugroho, nheigz and Ulf Eriksson (assuming he made a typo and meant “can’t”). Clicking “Done” / “Updating” isn’t working. I’ll just wait for the update tomorrow morning or revert back to the previous version.

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Frenone

If the main problem is the done button not working then that might well be the same issue. I saw you say the Visual Editor is blank so assumed it was something else. My apologies.

If you’re running the 2.4.1 version, can you also clear your browser cache to ensure the latest JavaScript file is being loaded? Browsers will often cache these files, and the new file needs to be getting loaded for the issue to be resolved.

Thanks again! I do appreciate you taking the time to check this.

If you’re still getting the issue, would it be possible for you to check your JavaScript console for any errors.

Glad to see I’m not the only one with this problem. I thought it was something I did. I added a child theme to the Aviator theme.
It’s because of Aviator that I found out about Page Builder.

I installed the 2.4.1 update problem fixed. Great, thanks!

Problem is indeed fixed with the update.
BUT NOT for those who use Jetpack last updated version .

Both plug-in are not compatible when both last updated and activated.

    Best,

    David

I had the same problem, after the 2.4.1 update, everything works perfectly again :)

When you deactivated the previous one, deleted it, and installed this one, did you have to rebuild your page? Normally, I just click update now. I don’t usually have to delete and reinstall. I want to know what’s going to happen.

      Thanks

        Hi, I Work Here

        Hi Gwyn

All your content is stored in the database, so deleting Page Builder won’t lose any of your content. It’ll all be there after you reinstall. That said, you should see an automatic update to version 2.4.2 available in your dashboard now.

How much longer for the update?

Hello. I am using the Page Builder by SiteOrigin (ThinkUpThemes compatible) version 2.4.4 available with my ThinkupTheme and am experiencing the exact same issue whereby after making changes in Visual, I click Done and Update, but the change is not made — literally nothing happens. (Yes, I have cleared all of my cache over all my browsers, and the changes are definitely not taking.)

ThinkupTheme’s latest version of the plugin is 2.4.5 and Site Origin’s latest version is 2.4.9.

Can you tell me if the ThinkupTheme version 2.4.5 will resolve the issue? Or will Site Origin’s 2.4.9 version address the issue?

If the latter, then will it work with my ThinkupTheme, or will I have to try and get an earlier “ThinkupTheme compatible” version of the plugin to resolve the issue?

    Thank you,
    Laurie
