Hi Guys
I have tried a few times to load the Jetpack by WordPress Plugin and get this error message every time:
Installing Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com 3.8.0
Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.3.8.0.zip…
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /usr/www/users/psychqqnde/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/
Plugin install failed.
Please help! Do you know what the problem can be?
It is definitely not in the ‘activated’ Plugins’ List.
Thanks!
Viv
Hi Viv
If you go to Plugins, is Jetpack not listed there already?
If Jetpack is not listed at Plugins in WordPress then you’ll need to login to your server via FTP or Hosting File Manager and navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the “jetpack” folder.
Hi Andrew
Thanks for your prompt reply!
No, it's not listed at Plugins.
Will try out your suggestion and let you know how it goes, thanks! :)
Let us know how it goes.
If you don’t normally login via FTP you can use your hosting control panel. Almost all have some kind of file manager option. For example, cPanel has File Manager:

Hi Andrew
We went into the Hosting Control Panel and there was indeed a Jetpack
Folder which has now been deleted.
The New Jetpack Plugin was successfully added!
Thanks for all your help! :)
Awesome :) Really glad to hear you’ve made progress.
All the best.
