Premuim Member block style to Classic not working

I upgraded and got a block style site origin. I asked for support and was informed to load the classic editor. On all pages is works fine but my front page. It will only display in text. when I go to the page builder it is blank. It works in text and displays on the web but I can not go to page builder and edit it. What can I do?

    Hi Jeffrey

Thanks for reaching out. Please, contact out to our premium support desk via email ([email protected]). Alex will assist as soon as he’s back online.

If you’d like to get started on the troubleshooting process, please, see the below steps to run a plugin conflict test.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Jeffrey

I just remembered the email issue we chatted about last time. Please, try the above test and let me know how it goes. In summary, temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin and the Classic Editor then test the home page. Is the problem resolved?

    Andrew

I deactivated everything except siteorigin and the classic editor options. I cleared the cash. Did not work. I removed the classic wordpress editor and got the siteorigin block style back on my front page only. I am able to make modifications. I checked other pages with the classic editor plugin removed and it shows a normal editor. If I go to the front page again I get block style. So this only applies to the front page. I think there is something in the script inside the editor wanting a block style only and will not convert. Does this make sense? My theme is Sydney

    Any ideas?

    Hi, I Work Here

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Should be on its way.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. The details should be privately visible on this thread. Perhaps the Send the new user an email about their account option wasn’t selected?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the details. The issue should now be resolved. I’m not quite sure how that happened. Perhaps you built the home page using the Block Editor and a SiteOrigin Layout Block and then enabled the Classic Editor plugin? It isn’t possible at the moment to auto-migrate a Block Editor SiteOrigin Layout Block back to a Classic Editor SiteOrigin Page Builder page. It can be done manually though which is what I’ve done now. Hope this helps. Let me know.
