I posted this under another topic but thought I should probably start a new thread…
I had purchased the premium theme for another website and created a child theme for it which has worked great. I am trying to use it for a different site and the child theme is now not working. It says I need to install Vantage…when I go to do that, it says it’s already installed. Am I supposed to purchase the premium theme again for the new site?
Nevermind…I just figured out how I can input my order number…thank you!!!
Back again…I figured out how to enable my premium purchase, but still having issues creating a child theme. I did this with a prior site and copied the exact same information from the style.css for this site. The child theme is broken…menu, slider, lots of stuff. Here is the info I have in style.css. What’s missing? That’s the only file I have in the child theme.
I have tried using both of the following and neither are working:
/*
Theme Name: Vantage Child Theme
Description: Child Theme for Vantage
Template: vantage
Theme URI: https://siteorigin.com/theme/vantage/
*/
/* Custom CSS
————————————————————– */
AND…
/*
Theme Name: Vantage Child Theme
Description: Child Theme for Vantage
Author: Site Origin
Author URI: https://siteorigin.com/
Template: vantage
Version: 2.2
*/
@import url(“../vantage/style.css”);
/* =Theme customization starts here
——————————————————- */
Here is a child theme you can start out with. Install from Appearance >Themes > Add New: Upload:
