I have tried to install a prebuilt layout several times but it is just not working for me. I follow the instructions as per your YouTube video but when I import the layout I get a bunch of text on a blog like page but no graphics or formatting. What else can I do?

Leon

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Leon,

Typically when this happens it’s due to either your browser or your server blocking the images. Could you please send me the contents of your console after adding a layout? Please follow this guide on how to access your browser console.

    Hi Alex,

I have painstakingly worked through the process. WP seems to force themes on you so I never got a chance to start from a clean blank page like I see you guys doing in your videos. I never got that page with setting options on the bottom right side. I have spent 2 intensive weeks working on this site trashing it in its entirety 3 times. I am almost there but have 3 problems that I haven’t figured out how to resolve, yet. FYI, I am using the Gem Pro theme.

    1. Flex Hero widget as the slider at the top of my home page, in extended stretch, goes all the way to the left but no matter what I do doesn’t go all the way to the right edge.

    2. I can’t get this same slider widget right up along the main menu. I have the navigator line / masthead that I don’t know how to make disappear.

    3. The theme generates a divider image under the heading/title of certain prebuilt widgets, eg. testimonials. I have been trying to figure out how get rid of the divider and just have a title appear but again, I haven’t been able to figure this out. the [edit widget] window doesn’t seem to provide that option.

If you could help me with these issues it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Leon

    Hi Leon,

Just to clarify, we’re using our theme in that video, SiteOrigin North.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.
