Prebuilt Layouts

When I try to clone posts or pages from the Prebuilt Layouts the pages or posts do not show up to be selected.

The page just sits there…

This started to happen after one of the last updates.

It is happening on all the sites I have that use Page Builder.

Everything is updated, I have disabled all plug ins to see if there was any conflict and still no pages or posts show up to be selected.

Please advise.

Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Wind,

In the most recent version, we changed how importing was handled. Now after you’ve selected your layout you have to tell Page Builder how you want to insert it by making a selection from the insert menu.

This change allows you to easily import layouts into other widgets without having to rely on the layout builder as much.

Your answer does not provide a solution to my issue.

In my post it reads, “pages or posts do not show up to be selected.”

This means that post or pages do not show up on the screen to be selected so your new “insert menu” doesn’t even get activated so the insertion options don’t show up at all since nothing shows up to get selected to start with. Get it?

Over 5 days ago I provided access to one of the sites that is experiencing the issue for your to be able to actually replicate the issue and provide proper support.

Still waiting for an answer/solution to this issue.

It is obviously happening to many others users judged by the number of posts regarding the same issue.

    Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Wind,

Sorry – my mistake. I was too focused on the title of the post and an assumption on my part – normally people refer to the layouts as pages (which isn’t correct) so I assumed you were doing the same. I’m very sorry for the delay but there has to be a delay due to the nature of supporting free users. This isn’t ideal for either party but it’s just how it has to be.

This is not a widespread issue and the posts you’re referring to are likely unrelated to SiteOrigin Page Builder and instead related to a popular fork of our plugin.

Based on the following image, this looks to be a plugin conflict.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If the above doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
