Installer Posts linking back to Homepage not Post page
Hello.
3 questions regarding blog posts
1. Trying to find how to redirect post links (including the links from featured images and in side menu under ‘Recent Posts’, ‘Archive’ etc) to posts page and NOT home page. I have set this up in ‘General Settings’ but every time I click on them they take me to the home page. How do I get the post links to point to the Posts Page?
2. I have set the posts to show as excerpts (because I want the latest post to show in a shortened format on the front page in the ‘post loop’ widget box) but the excerpts have no ‘read more’ link at the end – is there one?
3. Is there a way to deselect post excerpt for the post page but leave it switched on for the post loop box on the front page?
What i am trying to create is a front page that links to the various pages of the site with a dedicated post page for the blog side of things.
Many Thanks for your help and patience (I am anticipating that this is really simple and that there is a small box somewhere i have just neglected to tick – I have looked and looked though but can’t figure it out!)
