Posting *.pdf articles on my website

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hi there,

I am using SiteOrigin Vantage Premium WordPress template. GoDaddy is hosting my website. I am interested in creating a page on my website where I can write-up a 3 or 4 sentence forward, and then post a link to a #.pdf document.

I have a bunch of questions:

– what type of pre-made template page do I use in Vantage for this webpage feature on my website?
– Are there any plugins that I should be using?
– Where do the *.pdf documents reside? With GoDaddy somewhere?

my website is www.automancontrols.com

thx.
best regards,
Rob

    Hi Rob,

    – what type of pre-made template page do I use in Vantage for this webpage feature on my website?
You can use any old page to do this. Just be sure that your maximum Upload file size is large enough for the pdf’s you want to upload. Consider getting in contact with GoDaddy for assistance with increasing it.

For reference, the default file size is typically 2MB.

    – Are there any plugins that I should be using?
If you don’t wish to have anything complicated or complex (like displaying the pdf on the page itself) then there’s no real need for a third party plugin.

    – Where do the *.pdf documents reside? With GoDaddy somewhere?
They’ll be stored in your uploads directly (wp-content/uploads/) so yes, they’ll be with GoDaddy.
