post loop widget more checkbox

Hi; I see that there have been a lot of inquiries on the ability to have the blog loop. I updated my version of widgets and see that there is a more checkbox included. However, I still have all the text of the blog posted on the post loop. I want the reader to have to click read more to add comments, etc. How can I get the more feature to show?

The url is below and click on blog in menu to see blog page that has post loop.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    The most standard use of your Blog page would be to remove all content and widgets and set Blog as your posts page at Settings > Reading. Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog > Post Content should be set to Full Content and each post should contain a more quicktag.

    Here is WordPress help on adding the more quicktag: https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/.

    If you need to add content above your posts feed, that’s where Page Builder and the Post Loop widget come in. In that event your posts still need to have a more quick tag added to display the continue reading button.
