Post Loop Widget – Grid Layout – illegal offset type

I am using the postloop widget, grid template.

the post feature image appears as per normal, but the post excerpts shows “Warning: illegal offset type in…”

i also observe it does not work with other template on post loop as well.

i am fine with either:
1. hidding the error message or
2. resolving the error to show an post excerpt properly. (best solution)

i’ve attempted to disable all plugin except site origin and userpress plugin, which does not resolve the issue. the reason i cant disable userpress plugin is because the page runs on it.

i need the userpress plugin enabled as it is a necessity function for the site to allow post editing on the front end without logging into wordpress.

your time and help is much appreciated. thank you.

something to add. i’ve attempted to add the following codes on site origin custom css (to hide post excerpts for grid template) which does not help as well.

    i’ve remove the css though.

/* Vantage Hide Post Loop Grid Excerpt */

    .vantage-grid-loop article .excerpt p { display: none; }

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi chew

Could you try briefly disabling UserPress, it would be good to establish what’s causing the error.

    Hi Andrew,

By disabling userpress, all my post contents (all currently written on userpress) will disable as well. Hence, there will not be any post left for postloop to display.

Userpress is a plugin which can turns wordpress post into a wikipedia editor where frontend editing of post content is allowed. http://userpress.org/

My apologies for not being clear previously. Postloop works fine while i’m writing on pages. The problem arises when i use postloop with userpress which gave me the illegal offset error.

My guess is that postloop and userpress are not working well together.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for reporting. I’ll log the conflict now.

If you’re feeling up for a quick test, perhaps you could see if a plugin like Query Wrangler suffers from the same problem:

    Hi, I Work Here

Would you like to send me a copy of UserPress to:

    Private Snippet

so that I can log the bug? Thanks.
