Post Loop – Posts Per Page

I am using the Vantage theme.

I want to display only the last 6 posts on my homepage but I have also created a page with a Post Loop Widgetto show all my posts. I want to set this page to show 9 posts per page.

The only places I have found to control this are firstly in WP Settings / Reading where I have set:

Blog Pages Show at most = 6
Syndication feeds show the most recent = 9

and secondly in the Post Loop Widget itself Where I have set:

Posts Query / Posts Per Page = 9

The Home Page correctly shows the latest 6 posts

The other page always shows 10 posts

Why are the Post Loop settings ignored? Is there anywhere else to control this?

    There is a page in the Menu called Blog Posts which is where I am trying to manage the Post Loop
