For some time I have been using the wp-inked blog to acieve wht I want, however it is now gone from the WordPress Catalogue and is edging towards being difficult. On a new site I have tried using the Post Grid widget from Site Origin, and nearly, but not quite.
An example of the kind of functionality I want is here.

An example of what I get from the Post Grid is here.

The core difference is that the Post Grid is stripping the post of the html, so no hyperlinks till you click down.
Is it possible to address that, or possibly provide that functionality for the Post Grid Widget.
Hi Philip
Thanks for reaching out.
The Post Grid Widget in your second link is part of Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets. Livemesh uses the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle framework to add its widgets.
Hopefully, we’ll have a Blog Widget out soon with a grid layout in the same style as the Corp grid: https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/grid-blog-layout/.
The widget is awaiting additional styling settings. The work can be followed at https://github.com/siteorigin/so-widgets-bundle/pull/1359.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the Livemesh Post Grid Widget offers a setting to switch from Excerpt to Full Content. To add formatting, we’d need to either switch to Full Content or filter the excerpt function to allow for certain HTML tags.
Hi Andrew,
Yes, I think the Site Origin Corp grid blog layout, looks more like it.
Hi Philip
I could send you a beta release of the Widgets Bundle with the Blog Widget if you’re up for using it at this early stage. It doesn’t have color settings added yet.
HI Andrew
I would love to give that a go
Kind Regards
Philip Barrington
Sure. Please, find a beta release copy of the Widgets Bundle at the below URL:

Hi Andrew,
Loading it on my site. Nice layout. Got over written by autoi updates, so I ahve turned it off for the moment.
It would be nice to be able to put a limit on the number of pasts called in the post query.
I hope this is nearly in the release.
Hi Andrew,
I have loaded it onto the client site where we had the issue, and have exactly the result we are after. Thankyou very much, and as usual excellent usability and style from Site Origin.

Hi Philip
I’m glad to hear the new widget has helped.
I’ll check to see if we can restrict max posts from the Additional arguments field and get back to you.
Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a method of limiting posts. I have passed your feedback on. Sorry, I don’t have better news at the moment.
That’s fine, Andrew, I am happy for it to go on the wish list, I am now eagery awaiting the release of the module within the widgets bundle, so I can start using it wider. The Site Origin version devivels a more polished reslt to the screen, but I have come to expect that. I remain very much a Site Origin fan.
Thanks for your understanding and support; it’s most appreciated. We’ll announce the widget release once it’s included in the bundle.
Cheers for now.
Andrew
Hi Andrew, I hope we are getting close to this.
