Post carousel page-specific taxonomy

I have the widget “post carousel” on a specific sidebar (above the content[-div-]) on every post so that I do not have to add the widget whenever i make a new post.
i would now like to know how to make the widget only show posts from the category that specific post is from: so if I’m on a post under the category, ‘flower’, it will only show other pages under the same category and nothing more.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Emeka

    Thanks for the long wait.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I don’t think there is any way to do this from within the carousel loop query builder. It’s a great idea though so I’ll be sure to log it as a request.

    Sorry, wish I had more.

Right. It’d be cool if you could get that done soon or maybe get me some directions on how i could help myself

Unfortunately, feature requests aren’t a short term item. They’re collected and organised based on how many requests we receive for the same change/improvement. From a custom development point of view, advanced PHP programming would be required to enhance the Carousel widget as required. For the short to medium term, your best bet would be to try find an alternative plugin that already offers this as a built in feature. I don’t know of any plugins that have the combination you’re looking for. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist though.
