possibly a markup error in accordion widget

7 years ago · Last reply by huegelkind 7 years ago

Hi support team,

I’m using wp-Typography. When activated, the site origin accordion widget shows “&#xf218” instead of the big + sign that indicates to unfold the accordion.

pepe (@pputzer) from wp-typography has already checked ma basic test site https://vhs0.blogtogether.de/. He thiks here’s the problem:

The problem is a markup error in the accordion widget: .
The entity in the data-sow-icon attribute is lacking the final ;, which is why the & gets encoded as & by wp-Typography’s HTML parser. Browsers are more lenient here.

The problem lies in https://github.com/siteorigin/so-widgets-bundle/blob/24dcccafd1164daf8d99b5e2081734ff31102b83/icons/ionicons/filter.php, the whole bundle is missing the ;.

Both plugins, site origins widget bundle and the wp-Typography are essential for my work, so thanks for help in advance!

Michael

    Hi Michael,

We’ve been contacted by wp‐Typography about this issue and this will be fixed in the next SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle Update, 1.11.5. 1.11.5 will be released in a day or two.
