Hi All,
I’ve created a WordPress website for my partner and use the premium Origami theme. Recently I’ve noticed a Java update appear at the top of the screen when you first come to the homepage. I think this is possibly malware but I installed and ran Sucuri and it didn’t find any malware.
I have no idea what is causing this Java pop up to appear and don’t know how to remove it. Would anyone be able to help out?
Thanks very much!
Hi Kiel
Sorry to hear about this hassle.
There are some really good resources suggested in this similar thread here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/trojanspambot-?replies=10#post-. In this case the site was hacked but I think the same resources for resolution would apply.
Hope you make progress here.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the link. Do you know what sort of malware this is? I can’t tell if it’s a post hack or what.
Kiel
I unfortunately don’t. Usually doing a search of the symptoms can help find the cause.

Perhaps the first result there? Looks like a couple threads on this.
