Hello,
I’m trying to create a page with a single row containing 2 columns : one on the left with a portrait format photo shown with a parallax effect and the other on the right with simple text (with a 0.382/0.618 ratio).
I have no problem to add parallax effect to a full row picture but I can’t seem to do it for column format pictures.
Is there a way to make this kind of layout with SiteOrign ?
(Sorry for my english but it’s not my native language)
Hi Franck,
This is possible, but it’s quite complciated – in the next update (there’s no current ETA), this will be much easier as you’ll be able to apply it directly to the columns. As a result, I would recommend, if possible, waiting until the next version.
Please add a layout builder to the column you wish to add the parallax effect to. Open it and apply your desired settings by heading over to the widget styles sidebar and open the Design settings group – set the background image and set the background image display to parallax. You’ll need to open the layout settings group and work out a padding to ensure that it’s the same height as the left column. This will also be much easier in the next version as we’ve taken steps to allow you to automate this.
Thanks,
I’ll eagerly wait for the next version, and will try the method you suggested meanwhile.
Will there be a tutorial to use the new column parallax function when the next version come out ?
Hi Franck,
Yes. :)
