Portfolio Widget

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hello, I just discovered the Portfolio Widget. I tried to use it but I must be missing something. Is there a tutorial somewhere? It looks wonderful on the demo page (http://wpinked.org/siteorigin/folio/) and I would love to recreate it on my page. I have two main questions:
1. Is it necessary to run Jetpack in order to use the Portfolio Widget (it’s mentioned in the Inked Portfolio admin).
2. Is there a way to determine what happens when a portfolio item is clicked? Is it possible to open a lightbox rather than a new page?
Thank you for your support and patience. Maybe these questions are already answered elsewhere, I looked but could not find anything. Yours faithfully, Jan.

    Hi Caspersjan

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Portfolio widget isn’t part of our Widgets Bundle, we’ll hopefully have one soon. It’s part of this plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-for-siteorigin/

We released our Widgets Bundle as a framework onto which other developers could base their own widgets. For support on the Portfolio widget, it would be best to reach out to the developer here:

Yes, you do need Jetpack Custom Post Types enabled:

Let us know how you come along :)
