This is my first time using support.
Great work by “siteorigin.”
Is it only possible to use “portfolio” by installing Jetpack?
Is it not possible to use “portfolio” with the “Post Loop” widget without installing “JetPack”?
Is there any alternative to building a portfolio with the “corp” theme?
What is the “Post Loop” widget translated into Spanish?
Thank you very much.
Hi José
Thanks for your post; glad to hear you’re enjoying Corp.
You could add your Portfolio post type using https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/.
I’m unfortunately not sure what the Post Loop Widget is named translated. If you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle installed you can go to PluginsSiteOrigin Widgets and activate the Blog Widget which has a Portfolio template: Page: Blog.
hi Andrew,
Thank you for your quick and accurate response.
This CORP theme and the widget plugin from SiteOrigin are truly comprehensive for achieving professional results. Simply using the BLOG widget is enough to achieve spectacular results.
Thank you again.
Best regards.
Hi José
Thanks for your kind reply; I’m glad to hear you’ve found the Blog Widget useful!
Cheers
Andrew
Hi,
It’s possible to filter posts by all categories and only one tag. Sorting can be done by category.
That is, display all posts as “Portfolio,” categorized by category, but with a specific tag associated with them: “Portfolio.”
Regards,
José Carlos.
Hi José
I’m not sure off the top of my head. I took a look now but I’d have to research further. Might it be possible to create a new Custom Post Type called Portfolio with the Custom Post Type UI plugin or are you looking to avoid doing that?
In the Taxonomies field it’s possible to search for your tag and search for the categories you’d like to filter by; I’m not sure if this will lead to the desired end result though, I’d need to test further.
Hi Andrew,
If there’s another way, I’d avoid using the Custom Post Type UI plugin.
Since I’ve included all the necessary categories plus a tag, I don’t see a way to do it.
Regards.
Thanks for trying; a post type would be needed to help the setup.
Hi Andrew,
I finally solved the problem:
– I created and assigned the “Portfolio” tag to each portfolio post.
– I used the “Additional” field in the “Post View” section of the “SiteOrigin Blog” widget and defined the “Portfolio” template:
“Additional” -> tag=”Portfolio”
(The names of the configuration parameters may be different because I’m using the Spanish version for Page Builder by SiteOrigin and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, and I’m using Google Translate to communicate in English).
This set, Page Builder by SiteOrigin and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, is very good, but you need to take the time to get to know it and discover its potential.
Regards.
Super; really glad to hear you found a way forward. Thanks for sharing your solution.
