Hi enf
Thanks for reaching out.
Corp is using the following:
add_image_size( 'siteorigin-corp-500x500-crop', 500, 500, true );
You can adjust the featured image size and crop (true or false) using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/.
thank you Andrew!
but is it possible to have the featured image displayed on the page of the project AFTER the HEro widget? Because it by default changes the widget location and I cant use the option Header overlap (as on the main page of the Corp theme demo)
Please, could you send a link to the page concerned so we can take a look?
how could I add hidden info here?
the web is under construction so i have to provide the pass and login for you
Thanks for your reply. Our free support scope is public, we offer private support via email as part of our SiteOrigin Premium plugin. You’re also welcome to take a screenshot, upload it to your cloud site of choice and send us the link.

this is the link to the project page
as you see the featured image of the project is on top of the page, after the Hero widget, so there is no way to use Header overlap
Thanks.
At CustomizeTheme SettingsBlog, you could disable the Post Featured Image setting which would remove the featured image. It would impact the blog and the portfolio single post pages though.
Thank you it works well!
Super, glad to hear you’re making progress :) All the best with your site.
Hello Andrew
regarding the Featured image issue
the Plugin you have suggested is outdated….
Could you tell where in the files is the feature to set the size of the image?
Corp is using the following:
add_image_size( ‘siteorigin-corp-500×500-crop’, 500, 500, true );
thank you!
Hi, thanks for your feedback. I know it hasn’t been updated in a year but given our experience with it, there aren’t any issues we are aware of. The warning isn’t a confirmation that there is an issue, the plugin directory just doesn’t know. Plugins don’t necessarily need updates.
Theme files are overwritten whenever there is a theme update. If you’d prefer to not use Simple Image Sizes you can make modifications via a child theme or via a plugin like Code Snippets but this moves the task into a custom development task.
thank you Andrew!
could you point which php file of the theme contain this feature? Cant find it .. would like to check it and see if I can do anything
It, unfortunately, isn’t a viable solution to make changes to the parent theme. Changing existing featured image sizes via a child theme requires a custom function. We offer a starter child theme in the Corp documentation. We do all we can to help here on the forum but work with limited resources. If you’d like a hand with small custom development tasks like this one, we are able to. assist within our premium support scope where the budget allows for it.
Our themes are on GitHub, you can search within each repository https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-corp/search?q=add_image_size.
The screenshot from within Simple Image Sizes that I sent previously was from my local computer. We also have had the plugin in use on our demo server for years without issue. It’s a quick and simple solution to make changes to featured image sizes.
thank you! already installed the plugin and it works well!
Super, glad to hear you’re making progress :)
