Plugins not displaying and conflicting with SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle

Hi,

For some reason, only some of my plugins are displaying when the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is activated. When I click on plugins it will show that 24 are installed but will only show/ist 12 of them and prevents me from searching any other plugin that is not displayed. When the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is deactivated they all reappear. I have attached a screenshot and pasted the errors the servers have.

    Hi,

Can someone please help me with this? I have built my website using a lot of SiteOrigins widgets and was planning on launching it in a week. I can’ launch it until I solve this issue or I have to re-build it.

    Thanks,
    Kelsey

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kelsey,

According to the error message, this issue is related to Widgets for SiteOrigin. Does this issue remain? Are there any pending updates for any SiteOrigin Plugins? If so, please update them.

    Hi Alex,

I have done the updates, there was one for pagebuilder. I have also removed the Widgets for SiteOrigin plugin and don’t plan to use it anymore, as it is unsupported. I also thought removing the plugin would resolve the issue.
However, it seems now whenever I install or active the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, it creates the same issue. I just tried again on a staging site and it will only display 12 of the 22 installed plugins and it won’t let me search for any other plugins that aren’t part of that 12 that are displayed.

I also noticed that when I have the Site Origin Widgets Bundle disabled that none of the links appear under the plugins (activate, update, deactivate etc.) I tried asking my hosting company but they don’t seem to have an answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kelsey

    Hi Alex,

I was able to review the server error logs and found that there was another error with a plugin that must have originally conflicted with the Widgets for Site Origin plugin and then caused a string of issues afterwards. I have deleted it and all the problems I was having with the plugin page have been resolved. I was able to re-install Site Origins Widget Bundle again and from what I have tested on my staging site so far everything is working great.
Thank you for taking a look at this. I had a feeling it was something else causing the problem and not your widgets as I have them running perfectly fine on my other websites. I happy I got this solved and that it didn’t end up taking up too much of your time.

    Thanks again,
    Kelsey

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kelsey,

To clarify, what plugin did you remove that resolved the issues with SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle? I ask because it sounds like that plugin was conflicting with SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and I need to make a note of it.

I have also removed the Widgets for SiteOrigin plugin and don’t plan to use it anymore, as it is unsupported.

That’s not actually correct. Widgets for SiteOrigin is definitally still supported.

    Hi Alex,

    It was WP Editor.

I can see that the author has now started offering support again but when I purchased the Pro version of the widget in October of 2017, it was definitely not being supported and don’t think that it was for some time. The PRO version, was suppose to include 1 year of fast email support, of which I have been unable to receive any. The installation of Pro version actually caused 2 of my websites to crash and created a downward spiral of problems. One was down for 2 weeks, with my hosting company trying to find fixes and remove the plugin.
Even after the plugin was removed I have still been dealing with problems from it just for activating it, including the issue with my plugin page. I have tried contacting their support on multiple occasions and have been unsuccessful at receiving any response or any help from the author. Its now been 4 months and still haven’t heard anything or receive a refund that was requested, so the year of support that I paid for has not come through yet. Unfortunately to me its not supported, as my experience with the plugin has just been awful.

    Best Regards,
    Kelsey
