Plugin incompatibility with Leaflet Maps Marker Pro – urgent please 30-day pre-sales

Hi,

There is an issue with your Site Origin HERO widget and the MapsMarker Pro plugin.

When I activate Maps Marker Pro 4.3.2 (even if I don’t use it) on my site, it renders your HERO widget useless and breaks the backend of my site.

Instead of the HERO widget being populated with the info I already added to it previously, it is just blank and I can’t even click the down arrow to even add a frame. If I try to revert to the text editor and then preview the page, I just get a message saying the page isn’t working HTTP error 500. I then also have issues using the live editor and I can’t preview any pages on the backend if they have the HERO widget in the page.

Please could you help to sort this out urgently. I am on a 30-day pre-sales deal and I need to evaluate this plugin properly before I purchase it. They only allow an install once per domain.

I have already contacted and spent 3+ hours talking to the reps at Maps Marker Pro today who have so far been unable to assist me. I also found an incompatibility thread on github between Robert Harm the developer of MapsMarker and yourselves way back in 2015 which seemed to have finally been resolved but there now seems to be an issue again.

All my other plug-ins work with Site Origin – but not Maps Marker Pro plugin. My website is on a multi-site WordPress platform. I am using the Bento theme with Site Origin Page Builder and Site Origin Widgets Bundle (all free versions). Using Chrome browser.

I don’t have much coding knowledge so if your response does involve coding please could you give me as much information as possible.

Thank you,
Marius

    Hi Marius

    Thanks for posting.

Please, upload a copy of Maps Marker Pro to a cloud storage site of your choice and email the link to [email protected] so we can take a look. Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for sending the link to download. I didn’t realize it was publicly available. I’ve set up a map and am using it Page Builder. Please, could you outline the steps to recreate the problem? If we log an issue report, steps to recreate would form the bulk of what we log. Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

    Please:
    1. Install and activate MapsMarker Pro 3.1.1
    2. Upgrade the plugin to MapsMarker Pro 4.3.2
    3. Create a page if you haven’t already
    4. Add the Site Origin HERO widget
    5. Try to add content to the HERO widget such as a frame with an image and text
    6. If it performs the same as my site you probably will not be able to add a frame in the HERO widget

If you are able to add content to the HERO widget then after adding content, try to preview the page by clicking on Preview Page – not by using the page link.

Again, if its performing like my site, you will not be able to preview the page at all or it will not give the preview you expect.

If everything works fine for you then we will have to look further into adding maps to pages.

    Many thanks

    Hi Andrew,

I think I have discovered the issue. Please accept my sincere apologies for this.

It appears that the issue is with NextGen Gallery and not Site Origin.

Apologies again but thank you for your amazing support!
