I updated wordpress recently and cannot edit my homepage.
I believe this to be a plugin conflict.
This is because when I disable all my plugins apart from site origin widgets I can edit.
I have uploaded your latest versions of Page Builder & Widgets Bundle.
In a nutshell the problem is this:
– If I go to pages/all pages and open a random page and press ‘edit’, I can: page builder opens
– If I do the same with the Home Page, than I get an empty screen.
– It seems to be a conflict with SiteOrigin Page builder and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
I have deleted all unnecessary plugins am currently using these ones:
– Advanced CSS Editor
– AWSM Team Pro
– Crelly Slider
– Page Builder by SiteOrigin
– Simple Custom CSS and JS
– SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
– Sydney Toolbox
I have deactivated and reactivated the plugins and found out that I can get access when I deactivate one of the Site Origins plug ins.
The problem is, is that site origin is essential to my website so I cannot replace them.

Hi Constantine,
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue (which it should), then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is conflicting which plugin is conflicting with SiteOrigin Widgets bundle.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If the above doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

I have followed your instructions and give you feed back.
I disabled all my plugins apart from my two site origin plugins – widget and builder.
I cleared the cache and one by one I reactivated my plugins.
on each occasion the problem remained however when I disabled site origin widget I was able to reenter the the backend of the homepage?
Do you think it’s better I use another widget tool? The only problem is most of my components are built with site origin?

Also I just updated the sit origin builder to the latest version and the problem remains.

To confirm, did the issue remain after temporarily changing to a different theme?
We directly build these two plugins with each other in mind so it’s very odd you’re having an issue with each other which is why I suspected it was a plugin conflict and why I suspect it may be a theme conflict. To clarify, by “not working” what actually happens? Do you see a white page?
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

We did, but we can’t seem to log in though. Are there any known quirks with your website’s login? Do you have any security plugins that may be rejecting us due to location (I’m based in Brisbane, Australia)?

I was able to log in without issue this time. Not too sure why I wasn’t able to yesterday.
Please enable WP_DEBUG. This will require editing wp-config.php so if you’re unfamiliar with doing this I would recommend getting in contact with your hosting provider.

I have run the WP Debug and still no luck.
Now I get the message:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 176160768) (tried to allocate 147456 bytes) in /home/cluster-sites/1/h/hitp-communityhealthpartnerships.co.uk/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3728
I have had a look at line 3728 and it looks fine
margin-bottom: 20px;
Can you help? I’m not sure what I can do next.

Hi Constantine,
You need to apply a pretty hands on fix to resolve this issue. This article would be a good read as it’ll outline how to change it. You’ll need to edit wp-config.php. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend asking your hosting provider for help with editing this file.
