Hi,
I am editing the WP Interia theme by Kaya Pati and am having some issues with getting images to format correctly.
We would like the template to be full width, however when I upload images and use the SiteOrigin Image, images which are tall and narrow such as cabinets and poles end up looking very stretched.
When I change the template to default, the cabinets and other tall and thin items look the right size but the page is only half as wide, whereby long items such as desks squish up.
Is there any way to resolve this so that the page remains full width and all thumbnails/images are their correct size?
I have tried unticking/ticking the full width and bound boxes within site origin image and have even played around with
image size using the drop down function on the image size section.
I have also tried resizing images in photoshop and still cannot find a solution.
Could someone please help me? I am really stuck on this and am not very technical (at all), so easy to follow replies will be immesnly helpful!
Thanks
Emma

Hi Emma,
So the issue here is that you’ve set a hard height for the catalogue images.
Normally the images will have the height set to auto to ensure that an aspect ratio is maintained based on the width. This will typically prevent the stretching you’ve seen here. Now, obviously you’ve set it up like this to ensure that this doesn’t happen:
Which I get. I would recommend either manually resizing images to ensure the aspect ratio works in an ideal sizing by default, or alternatively, change the height to min-height – there will be some minor spacing but there will also be very few stretched images.
Thanks so much for your help! We finally fixed it :)
