All Pages Say Missing Widget Inked Blog So Widget

All of my pages aren’t showing anything anymore and it says Missing Widget Inked Blog SO Widget. I updated the latest version of the Site Origin plugins and not sure if the problem was there before or not. I have deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one but it had no effect on the issue at all. Please help, thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

Please, try going to Plugins, check that “Widgets for SiteOrigin” is installed and activated. It’s a third-party plugin, SiteOrigin isn’t the author. Once confirming the plugin is activated, try going to PluginsSiteOrigin Widgets and check that the widgets are activated there.

(With regards to plugin conflict tests; deactivating and reactivating plugins doesn’t usually help with a specific problem. If you’re running a plugin conflict test you’re seeking a working baseline. The test involves deactivating all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin and then checking to see if the issue has been resolved. If the issue has not been resolved then the test has failed. Only if the issue has been resolved would you move onto reactivating plugins one by one. Reactivation is done one by one so you check the issue after each activation to see if the problem has started again.)

    Hi Andrew,

I looked and there is no Widgets for SiteOrigin plugin on WordPress. There is SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle which I already have installed and activated. I’ve been using SiteOrigin for years now and haven’t deleted or deactivated any of its’ plugins. Under Plugins, Site Origin Widgets, I have several of them activated and haven’t touched any. Is there anyone specifically that needs to be on for this issue Missing Widget Inked Blog SO Widget? The only ones not activated are Accordion, Call-To-Action, Contact Form, Icon, Image Grid, Layout Slider, Simple Masonry Layout, Tabs, Taxonomy, Testimonials, and Video Player. Not sure if that would have an affect?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the update.

If “Widgets for SiteOrigin” plugin is missing/not installed in your plugins list, it explains why the Inked widgets are missing. I can’t say how the plugin was deleted from your WordPress installation.

Widgets for SiteOrigin was removed from the WordPress directory, the support page is still available at https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-for-siteorigin/.

We have a copy of Widgets for SiteOrigin available here https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/widgets-for-siteorigin.zip. To confirm, we aren’t the author of this plugin, it’s a third-party plugin built on our framework. I’ve installed the plugin now and it seems to be functioning normally. In order to recover your Inked widgets, you’ll need to have the plugin that provides the widgets activated which is Widgets for SiteOrigin. You can install the plugin from PluginsAdd NewUpload Plugin.

    Hi Andrew,
Your right, that fixed it! It seems that WordFence had removed it or something about a month ago since Widgets for SiteOrigin was completely removed from WordPress. I have added it back and it is working, although I am concerned about keeping the plugin since it was removed from WordPress and I don’t anticipate the authors will be updating it anymore. Is there something similar from SiteOrigin that you could recommend to take its place? Right now, I have it on my pages showing the latest posts so I’m wondering if there is something else I could use to display the latest articles instead of Widgets for SiteOrigin. Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update, glad to hear you’re making progress. Besides the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets is another plugin that you can consider to add widgets to the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Content Views is a plugin you might consider for your posts list.

    Hi Andrew,

I am following up from our messages from a few months ago. I keep getting warnings about the Widgets for Site Origin plugin and think it would be best to replace it since it is removed from WordPress and will no longer be getting updates. I have added the LiveMesh SiteOrigin Widgets plugin per your recommendation but I am a bit confused. How do I replace what the Widgets for Site Origin was doing for the pages/Missing Widget Inked Blog SO Widget. I believe that is the only thing I noticed was off when the Widgets for Site Origin wasn’t installed so I think the might be the only thing I need to replicate with another plugin. Please let me know and please let me know if Site Origin might have added anything for this. Thank you so much!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, good to hear from you.

I take it the warnings are from Wordfence.

How do I replace what the Widgets for Site Origin was doing for the pages/Missing Widget Inked Blog SO Widget.
There is no automated way of replacing widgets. We’re quite close to releasing our own Blog widget, it’ll be in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle this month. Livemesh contains the Blog Posts Grid Widget but pagination for that widget is a premium feature contained in the Livemesh premium plugin.

My recommendation, for now, is to leave Widgets for SiteOrigin installed for now and then give the SiteOrigin Blog Widget a try when we release it this month.
