Play Button over an image with hover – Like Yt Videos

By wireb, 1 year ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 1 year ago.

I use images, them embed the video (less resources on a page load than the embeded video), I would like to include play button with a hover state like that of Youtube. Any suggestios?

    Hi wireb

Good to hear from you. Are you looking to add a play button over a background image? If so, you could try the Slider widget which has a background and a foreground image option. Here are some play buttons I found: http://clipart-library.com/free/youtube-play-button-transparent-png.html.

    Hello Andrew,

Thank you for your assistance – yes looking for a play button over an image (background). Let me try this utilizing the SiteOrigin’s slider widget. Will then get back to give feedback. I am currently using the EasyFancy lightbox plugin.

Off the topic a bit, the SiteOrigin Button plugin is great and use it continuously ()with EasyFancy) to play videos using the “iframe” component. The result is, when you click on the button, the video plays inside the current browser session. The attributes options for state behaviors within the SiteOrigin button is just a great piece of work.

In the following days I will show you how your plugins along with other complementary plugins work harmoniously together. Tell me where best to post these links with comments.

    Cheers,

    wb

P.S. When will you enable an edit post function on this script?

Thanks for the feedback, sounds good, hopefully, you find an image that works nicely as a play button.

I’m glad to hear the Button widget has been useful, that’s great to hear.

We don’t have a specific place to showcase SiteOrigin sites, you could perhaps post here on the forum.

At the moment, we don’t have plans to change the forum functionality. Sorry for the hassle, if you need anything edited, please, let us know. I’ll pass your feedback onto the team. Ideally, posts would be editable for a certain amount of time after posting. Thanks again.
