Where would I find more instructions for modifying the masthead beyond what are is found at this link? https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/theme-settings/layout/

Right now I would like to stick some content between the logo and the tagline.

But looking forward, I am expecting to need to do some further modifications on the masthead before the job is finished. In light of that, I would be glad for some information about how to get more control of the masthead such as flip stuff around or build a completely new masthead.

Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Uwe

    If you go to Appearance > Widgets you will find a bunch of widgets you can slide in there. Please have a look them and let me know if that is what you are searching for.

    Cheers

    Good evening again,

    Maybe I am missing something still, but…

    I added two widgets just to play around with and they are all squeezed to together and scooted up against the right side.

    The other things that I cannot do is move the logo off of the left side to the right side with the two widgets coming first.

    So the question is, how do I create a completely new masthead? Or is that not possible?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Uwe

    Whilst it is possible to create a completely new masthead, in this case it isn’t necessary.

    if you remove your logo image from Theme Settings, you can then add a Layout Builder Widget to the Header Widget.

    In this you can then create 1 row with 3 columns. In these you can put your headline widget, text widget and an image widget to hold your logo. This will give you the layout you desire.

    Hope this helps

    It is me again. I have tried that and it is not working. The mast head is hidden behind the menu bar and still squeezed to the right.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Ok so this is one way to go:

    http://www.skylineroofingal.com/skylineroofingal.com/

    All of the above has been done, just running you through it.

    1. Appearance > Custom CSS, push the header to 100% screen width:

    body.responsive.layout-full #page-wrapper .site-header .full-container {
      max-width: 100% !important;
    }

    2. Remove logo from Layout Builder.

    3. Add logo back to theme settings.

    Widget area now takes up the remainder of the header.
