The PB Buttons for the Home page are no longer working in Vantage Premium after updating to version 1.5. I’ve tried disabling various plugins (none of which affected the buttons before) — no effect. Disabling inline CSS brings the buttons back, but screws up the formatting of the page. The buttons work in other pages. I hope there’s a quick fix for this issue.
Normally, this is a great theme. I’ve so enjoyed using it that I’d purchased a second Premium for another client. In the meantime, I’m going to have to figure out a workaround because the hyperlinks look lame on the Home page. Very irritating.
Luckily, I’m not the only one having this problem: https://siteorigin.com/thread/page-builder-update-broke-custom-home-page-buttons/.
Hi Anne
Sorry for the hassle. Disabling in-line CSS was our fix for this – at the moment at least. All we really did in 1.5 is ensure that Custom Home Page also creates a regular page called Home. We needed to do this to bring the feature inline with WordPress theme standards, so we’re at a loss to why this caused the button/styling issue.
If it’s only one page would you perhaps like to try out our new button widget contained in the SiteOrigin widget bundle plugin?

Hi Andrew,
Actually, I found a CSS workaround. I downloaded the plugin, though — I didn’t know about this particular plugin; it has some interesting widgets I’d like to try. Anyway, thanks for the quick response. And, yes, at least only one page is affected (I tried the other pages and the button widget worked fine). Otherwise, this is a great theme and very versatile (which is why I’ve purchased it twice so far).
Again, thanks!
Glad to hear you managed to work through this. Thanks for your patience. All the best.
