When I paid for Vantage upgrade I assumed it was for more than one website. After reading some of the posts here, I learned that it is only for one website.
Being from Canada, with the dollar exchange, I paid over $22 Cdn for the one website. I want to purchase the multiple website license and that will cost me close to $60 Cdn., on top of what I paid for the single licence. Is there any way I can be reimbursed for the single license and buy the multiple licence instead?
What is the URL for multiple license purchases?
Also, I am running Vantage premium on a test site, but will move it to a permanent site. I’ll be doing the same for my other sites. I read that this won’t be a problem. Could someone please confirm that it is indeed ok and won’t lock me out when I move the site contents.
Thank you.
Hi Suzanne
Thanks for your support.
Your license covers a single production website and unlimited testing sites. We’re currently offering a multi-site license for $50 USD. If you’d like to make a payment here for $35 USD we’ll make the necessary changes.
Thanks again.
Thank you. I’ll pay that now and look forward to getting the new licence information for multiple sites. Suzanne
I paid for it – $35 US as you requested, from the link above and downloaded. It says it’s vantage 2.4.2.
1. Is this the multi-site vantage I requested (see above)?
2. Do I have to delete the vantage theme that’s currently on my website and reinstall this version?
3. If so, please advise that this won’t change the website as I’ve been designing it for a week and can’t lose all my work.
Thank you.
Thanks for your support, it’s most appreciated.
1. Yes.
2. The easiest way to upgrade is from AppearanceVantage Premium, click Already Paid? top right, enter your order number and follow the prompts.
Alternatively, yes, the manual update process does involve first deleting Vantage. We cover the manual steps here: Page: Updating a Theme Using a ZIP File. They aren’t necessary if you auto-upgrade via AppearanceVantage PremiumAlready Paid?
3. Whenever a WordPress theme or plugin updates the entire theme/plugin folder is deleted. As long as you haven’t edited any theme files at a code level you’ll be fine. Content, settings, they are all stored in the database. As long as you haven’t edited files via Appearance > Editor or via FTP there is no risk of data loss.
Hope this helps.
