Hi,
I’m using Siteorigin Page builder and I’ve got an issue with the parallax effect that only occurs on Chrome and Edge but not Firefox or mobile.
The page link : http://www.jeanlutzsa.fr/contact/
At the very bottom of the page, the background behind the Siteorigin Services widget seems mispositioned and white appears at the bottom.
I noticed that I couldn’t disable the parallax effect of my row background, which would have probably fixed the problem.
I tried disabling all plugins except Siteorigin plugins but it didn’t help.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Thanks
Hi Richard,
I’ve had a look at your website and see that you’re using Sydney. Sydney implements a custom parallax that functions differently from how the standard SiteOrigin Page Builder Parallax works. I recommend reaching out to Sydney directly for assistance with this as they should be able to assist with pointing you in the right direction for the issue you’re facing.
You should be able to disable the parallax on the row by opening the row and going over to the Row Styles sidebar. Open the Design settings group and set the Background Image Display setting to Cover. Save. How does that look?
Kind regards,
Alex
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, I have no such settings in my row styles sidebar.
I can only choose a background image and not how it is displayed (the combobox isn’t here).
Best regards
However, this combobox appears in the cell styles.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for checking. That’s the standard method of controlling the background image parallax so if that’s not an option, your theme might be implementing a custom method of disabling the parallax. Please check with the developers of your theme about that also.
Kind regards,
Alex
Hi,
Isn’t it strange that a theme can make a combobox that doesn’t belong to it disappear? I would have liked to keep this possibility.
Anyway, I was able to solve the problem by adding CSS to the attributes of my row but the parallax effect has completely disappeared and the result is less satisfactory.
Regards
Hi Richard,
Great to hear you were able to find a solution.
We’ve intentionally Page Builder to easily customizable by other plugins and themes so it’s not unusual for something like our parallax to be swapped out with a custom implementation.
Kind regards,
Alex
