Parallax effect dissapears when I vertically align background image

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi there
Been using the PageBuilder for a while now and I am really impressed. This makes things a lot easier!

I am trying to create a nice parallax scroll effect on my landingpage (sorry, can’t link to it now because it is behind a “under construction” sign).

I am using the built in parallax effect, so the steps I have made is:
1) Create a new row
2) Set Background image
3) Selected Parallax in the Background Image Display drop down box
4) Added text box with 4 linebreaks to the row

The issue is that my picture is centered, I would like to have it shown from the top.
So I added this to the rows CSS Style:

background-position: 50% 0% !important

This made the vertical alignment of the picture correct – but removed the parallax effect.
What can I do? Hope someone can help.

Kind Regards
Bendix Petri

    Hi Bendix,

Unfortunately, this isn’t avoidable at this time as we currently use background-position to handle the parallax. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on Codeable.
