Pagination with Vantage Theme

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hello,

How to add pagination to the Vantage theme?

I have several pages with photos. What I would like is to make numbering (1,2,3 next) at the bottom like you have on your SiteOrigin page with themes ( https://siteorigin.com/theme/).

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!!

    Hi Wojtek

Pagination will occur automatically when using posts and viewing those posts via a blog page or category/archive page. It’s unfortunately not possible to paginate multiple pages. You can however paginate a single page by using the following:

Alternatively you could add your photos as posts and then list them using the Post Loop widget and our Page Builder plugin. The Post Loop widget allows you to pull a particular category by adding the following to the Additional field within that widget:

    cat=x

Where x is the numerical ID of the category you want to display.

    Hi Andrew

I was trying to add an extra page brake, but the shortcode doesn’t work with Page Builder. Do you have a solution for this ?

That’s right, it unfortunately won’t work with Page Builder, only with regular pages.

Ideally you’d use our Post Loop widget to pull the pages you require. At the moment though, this isn’t possible. Hopefully in the future.

You could consider re-building these pages as posts all added to a single category and then using the Post Loop widget to pull that category. It would then have pagination.

    Sorry I don’t have a quicker route.

    Hi Andrew,

I was wondering if a change had been made to allow the short code to work in page builder or you could recommend a plugin.
I get your short code to work in visual editor as suggested but…

Many thanks for all your efforts though.

Sorry Simos, not yet. I’ve given the request another push on our side. Hopefully, the team will have time for it soon. Wish I had better news.
