Pagination not working on category post page

I set up a category post page. Selecting ‘page 2’ or ‘next’ just defaults back to the first page. Here is the link https://www.adv-usa.com/newsletters/

What is really strange is… that the pagination on the regular post page that includes all posts works just fine. Here is the link https://www.adv-usa.com/blogs/

Any ideas as to what is going on? Is there additional code that I need to put on the template page? It appears that this is not working properly on the page.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Stephaniewp,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

There are several plugins (23) on the site and disabling them would affect several areas of the site and take a LONG TIME. The last plugin that I placed on the site after I created the new category post page was Page-Links-To””. I deactivated that plugin but that did not seem to fix the problem. Is there a different route we can take to fix this problem? I really don’t think its a plugin conflicting with it because I just created the post page. Its new and only installed one plugin after it.

In a previous thread https://siteorigin.com/thread/category-and-tags-page-2-not-working/, it stated that it may be a bug?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Stephaniewp,

That’s fine, however, if the thread you’ve referenced isn’t the cause we might need access to your website to create a mirror of it to try and replicate this issue. I’ve sent a message to Andrew for more information about that thread – it was before my time, and should hopefully hear from him soon.

I think I found the solution. When multiple loops (posts lists) are used in a theme template file only one loop, the main loop, can be paginated. So only my main blog page follows http://callmenick.com/post/custom-wordpress-loop-with-pagination

I just set up a new query and a new pagination for the category post to follow.

    Also this well documented here.
