Pagination not showing up on Post Loops

Hi,

I’ve been scouring these forums trying to find a solution to this but so far nothing has worked. I’m using the Sydney theme, and pagination works fine on the Sydney blog page, but I’m using post loops on a number of pages and pagination is not working on them. I’ve tried all the templates available to the post-loop widget. When I look at the template code, there is no pagination there, so I tried adding it myself. What I ended up with was pagination on each post in the list which is definitely overkill.

I also tried editing the page template that the actual page uses (As opposed to the template the widget is using) but that didn’t work either – no pagination at all showed up.

Can someone help me work out where I’m going wrong?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi EmerK,

I understand this must be very frustrating so I’m going to work with you to ensure this gets fixed asap. Could you send me a copy of a SiteOrigin Page Builder layout that has this issue? To do this, open up the post / page. Click prebuilt, click import / export and then click download layout. Upload it to any file host and please post it here.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi EmerK,

I’ve had a look at both your layout and your theme, and sadly, I know what the issue is. It’s your theme. It doesn’t include a template that supports pagination. Now I know that may sound strange but this widget works on a templating system to allow theme developers to work with it effectively. This is demonstrated by the ability to select content.php and content-search.php – two completely different files that will display the look differently.

As none of the detected files include pagination by default, this just isn’t possible without a fair amount of custom coding. This, sadly, is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums, but you could hire a developer to implement this for you. You could also alternatively put in a feature request to your themes developers for this functionality to be added.

    We highly recommend using Codeable.
