Pages overlap

Hey there, I have the Vantage theme. I’m trying to set up my Home page so it only shows blog posts and comments/share buttons for each individual post.

My first problem is that I’m not sure how to do that without the sidebar widgets (i.e. search, archive, etc.) and still have it show comments/share buttons. The home page elements have neither comments nor share buttons, despite allowing them both on the post’s and page’s options. The archive page has comments and no share buttons, despite having them both allowed on the page’s options.

My second problem is that, with my homepage set to static and edited as a page, every new page I add blends into my homepage. As it is right now, I have my home and archive page. If you go to the home page, however, it shows all of the elements from both.

I’ve been using the visual editor for all of the individual elements of each page. I’m sure I’m just doing something really stupid, but I cannot figure it out.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jesse

There are a few options here. With Appearance > Home Page turned OFF you could assign your home page to be your Blog page, that can be done from Settings > Reading. OR you could turn Appearance > Home Page ON and insert a Post Loop widget. That’ll give you a lot more freedom to insert content around the posts, either at the top or bottom of the page.

By default WordPress only displays comment forms on individual post pages. Vantage post sharing buttons, turned on from Appearance > Theme Settings > Social only display on single post pages too.

I’m not really following your point about pages blending into each other. To confirm, it’s not possible to combine Page Builder and the Visual/Text tabs when editing a post or page. Once a page is being managed by Page Builder it can only be edited from within Page Builder.
