    Hi Chiaraspastry

That’s odd. If you followed the instructions to the letter from the links given everything should be good to go.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Looking forward hearing from you.

    Hi Chiaraspastry

It seems it did not reach my end. Would you mind resending them?

NB: Ensure you use the procedure suggested earlier

    Hi Chiaraspastry

Let me try run through this quickly, perhaps you’ll find it helpful.

Under Settings > Discussion, the first section is: Default article settings, locate that section and de-activate the setting that reads: Allow people to post comments on new articles. That setting will only turn comments off on new posts/pages. For all existing posts/pages with comments you’ll need to manually de-activate comments. To do this click Screen Options top right on any page/post, ensure the Discussion checkbox is checked. Then scroll down to below the Visual editor, locate the Discussion section and un-check the comment options there.

Without adding a plugin to help, this is unfortunately the default way of turning off future comments and de-activating comment forms that are already active.
