Pages all reverted to default WordPress editor

2 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 2 years ago

We had a hacker get into our website and had to restore it from a previous backup. The backup we used was only a few days old. Since the restore all of our pages which were created using pagebuilder, are now using only the default WordPress editor. I can create a new page using pagebuilder. Any idea how I can get pagebuilder back for the other, existing pages?

Hi, thanks for posting your question.

It’s hard to say what has gone wrong with the backup restoration process. What happens when you click on the Page Builder tab; assuming your’re in the Classic Editor.

    Andrew,
I’m not sure what you mean. When I am in the classic editor I don’t see a pagebuilder tab.

If you’re in the Classic Editor and Page Builder is activated; ideally, you should see a Page Builder tab next to Visual and Text or be in Page Builder. Perhaps take a screenshot, upload it anywhere public like Dropbox or WeTranfer and share the link. We’ll take a look and go from there. Thanks.

Part of the issue may be that he pagebuilder plugin was supplied by the theme. I will followup with the company that I got the theme from and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks for the update. The SiteOrigin plugin is called Page Builder by SiteOrigin. If it’s installed, you will find it in your Plugins list in WordPress.
